Where we began
From a layoff to a dream brought to life.
I was a software engineer until I was laid off. I started over as a supermarket cashier and was promoted. Shortly afterwards, I needed surgery for a tumour in my parotid gland and spent my recovery at home.
During that time, my wife Silvia and I began making brigadeiros to sell in our residential community. Orders kept coming in, and we chose to believe in this dream rather than return to my previous job.
What began with brigadeiros grew, opened new paths and, in time, became Le Cacao.
